Our Impact

SSF is committed to using evidence-based solutions in sports for development programmes and building systems and processes that have a lasting impact.
To help tackle burgeoning crime and violence among youth, SSF has organised and lobbied on significantly reducing the practice of physical violence as an accepted form of punishment for children. SSF’s long standing collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has garnered our increased presence working within schools under our “Beyond the Bell” afterschool programme initiative focusing on academic enrichment, sports, life skills and conflict resolution.
Youth unemployment in the region is among the highest in the world. SSF youth mentors are drawn from this unemployed pool and where possible we seek to employee people that are out of work.

What do People Say about us?

Success is always relative, especially when working in challenging communities with limited resources. That said, we are proud of our impacts and record of achievement in the communities we partner with.
“This is an amazing programme that helps children in so many different and important ways. I've been proud to work alongside SSF these many years helping so many children with a range of disabilities."

"Since joining the youth mentorship programme I am so much more confident in what I do. I am able to work with the children and help them play and do lots of new things. Before I would never have known what to do but now I am able to be a real leader and people look up to me and see me differently.”
