A Culture of Inclusion: SSF programme beneficiaries include children with and without disabilities, their families and wider community in all activities conducted. We foster a clear culture of diversity and inclusion in both practice and delivery. This approach challenges discrimination and promotes a culture of acceptance.
SSF actively prioritises gender sensitivity and gender-based analysis encouraging understanding and awareness of differing sexualities and cultures.
Established position in the community: SSF programmes benefit from previous activities carried out and delivered by SSF community mentors over the years; safe space networks of support are therefore already established in local communities and significantly strengthened in recent years.
Enduring programmes: SSF only takes on projects that are long lasting and sustainable in the communities we serve.

Focus on a shared interest: SSF beneficiaries’ and mentors’ participation is motivated by their interest in healthy lifestyle activity and sport. This allows differences between them to become less important and increase their focus on commonalities.
Opportunities to travel and play: SSF offers travelling exchange programmes enabling both beneficiaries and mentors to strengthen their relationships within the programme setting. It also increases the appreciation of beneficiaries by the home communities they represent.
Quality mentor training: Leadership, Leadership, Leadership! The importance of the SSF Way training programme and associated physical activity, communication, safeguarding and life skills training should not be underestimated in its importance in successfully modelling inclusion and best practices.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Implementation of activities are evaluated and assessed with required changes and amendments. Three detailed review reporting and analysis sessions per year.
Public Education and Awareness: SSF is visible on all social media platforms with a view to Increasing public awareness of programme activities, its collaborating partners and broader diversity and inclusivity aims.
